EMS 101 - Emergency Medical Technician I (4.5 Credits)

This course covers the theory and techniques of basic emergency care in the prehospital setting and follows the EMT curriculum guidelines of the U.S. Department of Transportation. Topics include EMS systems, roles and responsibilities, medical, legal concepts, the human body, patient assessment, airway management, CPR, automated external defibrillation, communication and proper documentation, and traumatic emergencies.
