RDT 101 - Introduction to Radiologic Technology (1 Credit)

This course provides an introduction to the radiologic technology profession, reviews the imaging modalities and explains the ethical responsibilities of the radiologic technologist. This course also provides basic principles of radiation protection, radiographic exposure and image production. Medical terminology and abbreviations associated with human structure and function, and radiology, are studied. Lecture Hours: 13. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the department head. Course Fee: $40. Usually offered in the summer.
