RMI 115 - Principles of Life & Health Insurance (3 Credits)

This course covers life and health insurance topics and prepares students to take Maryland’s life and health insurance certification exams. It includes simultaneous explorations of life and health insurance from the perspectives of buyer, advisor and insurer. Other topics include life and health insurance products, pricing techniques, underwriting and claims, and individual and group insurance. Students with active state life and health licensure may be awarded credits in fulfillment of this course. Lecture Hours: 39. Prerequisite(s): RMI 101 with a grade of “C” or better. Usually offered in the fall.
