SPN 101H - Fundamentals of Spanish I, Honors (3 Credits) This course is an introduction to the Spanish language and Hispanic culture, with an emphasis on the acquisition of basic oral and written language skills through drills in grammar, vocabulary and communication. Designed for novice learners, this course is not for students who have completed two or more years of high school Spanish or for students who speak Spanish at home. This course meets the requirements of SPN 101 . Lecture Hours: 39. Prerequisite(s): Honors program eligibility and ENG 095 and ENG 096 or ENG 097 with grades of “C” or better or acceptable reading and writing placement test scores. Corequisite(s): SPN 101HR . Usually offered in the fall.
