EMS 155 - Physiology and Pathophysiology (3 Credits)

This course applies fundamental concepts of human physiology and pathophysiology to the management of patients in the prehospital setting. Topics include basic human anatomy and physiology, principles of pathophysiology and shock. Lecture Hours: 36. Laboratory Hours: 12. Prerequisite(s): ENG 095 or ENG 097 with a grade of “C” or better or an acceptable reading placement test score or permission of the department head. Course Fee: $60. Usually offered in the fall and spring.
