BMT 101HR - Introduction to Business, Honors Recitation (1 Credit) This honors recitation builds on topics covered in BMT 101 . Students will gain a heightened understanding of business ethics and corporate social responsibility by exploring how the concepts have evolved over recent decades and how managers must incorporate them as part of their business operations. Topics include the importance of philanthropy, employee well-being, corporate governance, consumer protection, social issues and sustainability. In order to receive honors credit, both the honors designated course and the honors recitation course must be successfully completed. Lecture Hours: 13. Prerequisite(s): Honors program eligibility or permission of the instructor, and ENG 095 or ENG 097 with “C” or better, an acceptable reading placement test score, or permission of the department head. Corequisite(s): BMT 101 . Usually offered in the spring.
