PHY 121 - General Physics I (4 Credits) This is the first part of a two-semester algebra-based course designed to give students a general knowledge of kinematics, Newton’s laws of motion, energy and momentum and their conservation, rotational motion, wave motion, temperature and heat. Lecture Hours: 39. Laboratory Hours: 26. Prerequisite(s): MTH 121 with a grade of “C” or better or permission of the department head. Laboratory Fee: $30. Usually offered in the fall and spring.
