CMP 142 - Game Engines I (3 Credits) This course introduces the process of developing games utilizing existing game development platforms. A current industry-standard development platform is used for various game development tasks. Students examine the creation of design documents and the development of prototypes. Key concepts such as game play, game mechanics and game engine programming are addressed. Lecture Hours: 26. Laboratory Hours: 26. Prerequisite(s): CMP 141 with a grade of “C” or better. Corequisite(s): CMP 135 . Laboratory Fee: $25. Usually offered in the spring.
