PTA 220 - Clinical Practice I (2 Credits)

This course provides students with an opportunity to observe and participate in patient care, as directed by a clinical instructor. Students are placed in a clinical setting to begin to apply the knowledge, principles and techniques learned in the didactic portion of the curriculum while under the direct supervision of a licensed PT or PTA. Lecture Hours: 13. Clinical Hours: 60. Prerequisite(s): PTA 150 and permission of the department head. Course Fee: $40. Materials Fee: $45. Insurance Fee: $30. Usually offered in the summer.
