RDT 154 - Principles of Exposure II (3 Credits)

This course is a continuation of RDT 104. Equipment characteristics and exposure technique selection affecting image receptor exposure, contrast and spatial resolution, and distortion, are reviewed. Parameters for selecting Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) techniques are explained. Fluoroscopic principles and components of the X-ray circuit are described. Lecture Hours: 39. Prerequisite(s): RDT 104 with a grade of “C” or better or permission of the department head. Course Fee: $40. Materials Fee: $20. Usually offered in the spring.
