BMT 127 - Personal Finance (3 Credits)
This course provides an introduction to financial planning needs and decisions facing individuals in their personal life. Topics include budgeting, borrowing, spending, savings and investments, medical care costs, insurance, retirement programs, taxes and capital investments. Emphasis is on the lifetime economic cycle. Lecture Hours: 39. Prerequisite(s): ENG 095 or ENG 097 with a grade of “C” or better, an acceptable reading placement test score or permission of the department head. Usually offered in the spring.
