ENG 215 - Introduction to Modern World Literature (3 Credits)


This course offers an introduction to world literature from the nineteenth century to the present, including poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Students will analyze and respond critically to texts through class discussion, literary reflections, formal essays and an oral presentation. By applying literary terms and orienting disparate works within their biographical and historical milieus, students will discover the range of human experience and commonality of the human spirit. Lecture Hours: 39. Prerequisite(s): ENG 151  with a grade of “C” or better. Usually offered in the spring.
