Learning Outcomes

Graduates of this program should be able to:

Explain fundamental concepts in human anatomy, physiology, microbiology and chemistry as they relate to health and disease;
Apply the knowledge and skills to perform the duties of an entry level health care professional;
Recognize individual and cultural differences in all aspects of health care;
Compose written documents and deliver oral presentations that summarize scientific concepts for academic and health care audiences;
Identify risk factors for disease and recommend strategies for prevention based on current evidence; and
Prepare for transfer into a bachelor’s program in health sciences.
