Program Code: NUR.CERT.LPN or GNS.AA.LPN for applicants
This program admits students based partially on their ACT scores and prepares graduates for jobs as licensed practical nurses (LPNs). In order to graduate, students must obtain a grade of “C” or better in all required courses. Students must also meet all clinical objectives and maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification while enrolled in clinical nursing courses.

Learning Outcomes
Graduates of this program should be able to:
- Provide individualized nursing care to clients experiencing selfcare deficits;
- Use a variety of communication skills to establish effective communication;
- Provide basic self-care information to clients who require support to restore or maintain health and meet self-care needs;
- Plan and organize their own assignments in a variety of settings to provide a safe, effective care environment; and
- Be responsible for their own nursing practice within accepted ethical and legal parameters.
