ENG 097P - Reading and Writing for Psychology (6 Credits)
This course is designed to prepare students for college reading and writing experiences. Areas of instruction include vocabulary, reading comprehension, punctuation, grammar and sentence structure, as well as paragraph and essay writing. It is specifically designed for students who need ENG 095 , ENG 096 and PSY 101 . As a corequisite with PSY 101, completion of this course fulfills the requirements of these courses. Group and individual instruction are provided. Students are placed in this course as a result of their reading and writing placement test scores or they can enroll on their own. Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in this course in order to enroll in ENG 101 . Lecture Hours: 78. Prerequisite(s): Acceptable reading and writing placement test scores. Corequisite(s): PSY 101P . Usually offered in the fall and spring.
