PSY 101P - Intro to Psychology with Writing Support (3 Credits) This course aims to provide students with a basic overview of psychology as a behavioral science and to help students develop a more comprehensive and accurate understanding of human behavior. Topics include psychology and development, cognitive processes, learning, intelligence, motivation and emotion, perception, personality, behavior and psychotherapy. This course is a corequisite to ENG 097P . The students in PSY 101P will build their supplementary reading/writing skills by using the psychology texts, assessment content and other writing assignments. Students will strengthen their writing skills, with a focus on APA citation. This will prepare students for their human services writing projects. Lecture Hours: 39. Corequisite(s): ENG 097P . Usually offered in the fall and spring.
