ENG 096 - Basic Writing (4 Credits)

This course is designed to prepare students for ENG 101 and other college writing experiences. Areas of instruction include punctuation, grammar and sentence structure, as well as paragraph and essay writing. Group and individual instruction are provided. Students are placed in this course as a result of their writing placement test score or they can enroll on their own. Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in this course in order to enroll in ENG 101. Lecture Hours: 52. Prerequisite(s): An acceptable writing placement test score or completion of ENG 087 or ENG 087M . Usually offered in the fall, spring and summer.
