SPN 101HR - Fund of Spanish I, Honors Recitation (1 Credit)

This honors recitation focuses on developing a deep understanding/appreciation of Hispanic cultures and addresses topics and pressing issues faced by the Spanish-speaking world. Through rigorous research, students will analyze and propose possible solutions to these real life challenges. This course is conducted mainly in English. In order to receive honors credit, both the standard course and the honors recitation course must be successfully completed. Lecture Hours: 13. Prerequisite(s): Honors program eligibility and ENG 095 and ENG 096 or ENG 097 with grades of “C” or better or acceptable reading and writing placement test scores or better or permission of the instructor. Corequisite(s): SPN 101 . Usually offered in the fall.
