EMS 242 - Medical Emergencies II (3 Credits)

This course prepares students to manage medical emergencies most commonly seen by paramedics. Topics include the renal system and urology, hematology, environmental conditions, infectious and communicable diseases, and psychiatric disorders. Lecture Hours: 26. Laboratory Hours: 36. Clinical Hours: 36. Prerequisite(s): EMS 240 and EMS 241 with grades of “C” or better or permission of the department head. Course Fee: $60. Laboratory Fee: $55. Insurance: $52.
