Program Code: CDC.AAS.CDC This program allows graduates to enter the job market or transfer to a four-year college or university and work toward a bachelor’s degree in social work or psychology. In order to graduate, students must obtain a grade of “C” or better in all chemical dependency counseling, psychology and sociology courses.

Graduates of this program should be able to: - Identify and describe the medical aspects of chemical dependency and treatment;
- Explain and practice the theories and techniques of counseling and therapy (individual, group and family);
- Apply addiction treatment delivery practices through participation in authentic field experiences;
- Identify basic psychological concepts, theories and developments related to human and abnormal behavior; and
- Describe and demonstrate adherence to the ethical standards of client welfare.
