OTA 180 - OT Activity Analysis (2 Credits)

This course focuses on the use of activity analysis, especially functional activities, so that students can identify therapeutic, meaningful and purposeful occupations directed toward individual needs. This is accomplished using general daily functional activities, traditional craft media used by occupational therapy practitioners and occupations selected by students from their own lives. Psychosocial and social-cultural influences are integrated into activity analysis, looking at occupations across the lifespan. Lecture Hours: 13. Laboratory Hours: 26.
